Hello there this is a simple guide to using Roll20 with VTT and BetteR20
1) Install VTT go to https://ssstormy.github.io/roll20-enhancement-suite/
2) For Firefox click on the firefox icon and press "Add to Firefox". And then click on "Add" as a popup window appears on top left.
For Chrome click on the chrome icon, click on the blue button that says "here". It should download a zip go ahead and extract into a folder. Then go to chrome://extensions and go ahead and enable "developer mode" in the top right. Click "Load unpacked" in the top left. Select the folder where you extracted everything and click the "Open"/"Select" button. Now finally click on enable extension as "VTT Enhancement Suite" appears in the list.
3) Umm now what you need is Tampermonkey
go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tampermonkey/ for firefox
and for chrome go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tampermonkey/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo?hl=en and you know what to do here.
4) Now for the last step in getting these things running go to https://get.5e.tools/ and then click on "BetteR20 Core v1.16.7" or just click on it here now a window shall open for tampermonkey installation that looks like
Now it is completely possible that this window might not appear instead it might take you to a bunch of gibberish dont panic and contact me @iiTheBeast#2967 also be prepared with TeamViewer as I will have to install it manually on your computer.
If you do get the window click install.
5) Tada go to any campaign on Roll20 that you DM and see the magic. I will make another guide about how it increase functionality some time later.
Important step but only for chrome users to be done after everything above is done:-
Go to chrome://extensions as before and click on "Details" under Tampermonkey
Then scroll down and select "On specific sites" under Site access. Then click on "Add a new page" and then put in roll20.net and then "Add Page". This prevents Tampermonkey from stealing your credit card info well it really won't and if it does google will know still is nice to have another layer of protection.
